  1. Q:So they are only primed right? If I want the risers to be white I would still need to paint them?
    A:These risers have a heavy coat of primer applied but we do recommend applying one more coat of paint to match the rest of the trim in your home. The extra paint coat can also make the riser easier to clean scuff marks if you use a slightly higher gloss level. Having said that, we do know of many customers who install the risers "as is" without the extra paint coat.

  2. Q:Do you make treads for curved stair case? (Right curved). One end width is14 inches, other end is 8 inches. Length 38 inches. Please let me know, thanks
    A:Yes we can custom make any tread. For curved staircase we may require that you send in exact templates.

  3. Q:Will a TRADITIONAL 3/4 inch thick riser work with a 3/4"' RETRO stair tread?

  4. Q:What wood type is it? is it made from MDF, plywood or is it pine?
    A:These risers are primed and considered paint grade - this means the face will be white but the substrate is not guaranteed. They will typically be birch-veneered plywood or Poplar depending on availability. We will not mix different substrates within the same order, however.
