Our Traditional treads are 1" thick all the way through and our traditional risers are 3/4". Risers are available in prefinished and unfinished and also come in pre-primed white which are ready to be painted.

Traditional stair treads and risers are made for replacing old stair parts or building a staircase, not simply covering an existing tread. WoodStairCo traditional treads are 1 in thick all the way through, with traditional 3/4 in risers available to complete the vertical face of each step. Choose closed box, left return, right return, double return, prefinished, unfinished, or pre-primed white options based on your project.

Traditional stair treads and risers are full replacement stair parts used when old stairs are removed or a new staircase is built. Traditional treads are 1 in thick all the way through, while traditional risers are 3/4 in. Choose them for structural replacement, not stair refacing.
