Tigerwood Natural Retro Stair Tread Closed 36" wide. Tigerwood is also marketed under "Brazilian Koa" or sometimes just plain "Koa" and is known for its tan or orange color with pronounced bold, black stripes throughout the wood. The stripes are very similar to a tiger's stripes, hence the name, "Tigerwood." Installing matching Tigerwood treads and risers make a striking and gorgeous addition to a home. Prefinished Tigerwood treads come coated with our unique Diamond Coat II with Aluminum Oxide for many years of enjoyment - these treads are equally (if not more!) durable and long-lasting as most modern prefinished Tigerwood flooring and far more durable than any coating you can apply on site.
