  1. Q:Are these unfinished treads ready for stain application or is further sanding required?
    A:We sand treads with 80 grit paper before they're shipped but we do recommend some additional final sanding once you receive them. Many stains take best when sanded to 120 or higher depending on the color and type of stain / topcoat used.
