The Red Oak Smoke Retro Riser 36 in is the matched-wood companion to Red Oak Smoke retro treads — prefinished in the same grey-brown Smoke stain for a fully consistent, monochromatic staircase. Installs over your existing riser using adhesive and a brad nailer, no removal required.

Smoke is WoodStairCo's most popular grey stain — a warm grey-brown that works in transitional and contemporary interiors and pairs naturally with grey LVP floors, white walls, and modern trim. If you have Smoke treads, this is the riser that completes the look.

INSTALLATION NOTE

Lightly sand the back face for adhesion. Apply Loctite PL Premium adhesive. Press over existing riser. Secure with a brad nailer at 6-inch intervals. Allow adhesive to cure for 24 hours. No painting required, prefinished and ready.

STAIN / FINISH TIP

Prefinished — no staining or painting required. For cut-end touch-ups if trimming to width, use the Prefinished Touch Up and Repair Kit ($21.07) in a grey-brown shade. Pair with Red Oak Smoke Retro Treads for a fully matched monochromatic staircase.
