The skirtboard (sometimes called a stringer or simply skirt) is a flat board that is installed along the side of a staircase. Skirtboards can be used to hide the edge of exposed risers or installed on the inside wall of a stair. Our paint grade skirtboard is 11 1/2" wide x 3/4" thick.

Our skirtboards are edge glued like our stair treads and have a sanded smooth surface, ready for you to apply the primer and paint of your choice. Paint grade skirt is available in a maximum length of 12 ft.
